Hilary first came into my life at St Francis Special school, Lincoln in early 1980s. She was the swimming teacher helping children with disabilities learn to swim. Hilary came into my life again in 2011 to present day, working within Lincoln University as service users supporting students within many different subjects. It was very important to Hilary to share her knowledge of disabilities to many services and people living with disabilities and medical conditions. Helping and supporting many of us along the way. Hilary definitely made a difference to many disabled people and the services that are their to help. Thank you Hilary for being a friend and for also helping me and my husband. Laughing all the way.

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
